TANNER CAN CATCH FOOD WITH HIS MOUTH!!! :) MAMA = PROUD!!

Today during lunch, as I was feeding my boy, I was wondering if Tanner could catch his food in mid air. You know, without his paws. Took a few tries to get it down and needless to say - to get pass the flinching and squinting. He/we progressed and well, he now can catch his food like an ACE! I really think he knew this whole time how to do it, and it is I who learned to toss the food to him. Tomato tow-mah-toe. :)

It was a great feeling and I'll have to get someone to take his pic for proof. Paws Down....I'm proud of my boy.

1st day of school

Sing with me....School's Out for Summer!! Now the new verse....School's in for Fall!!!

It's that time again and we are in full swing. Just had my first ALL HALL MEETING and met some of the community. Good times! Had my first class today and realized this will be my last class in the fall for Texas State! Woo! If all works out and God Willing, I'll finish up in May 2010. Hoping so.

Right now, I just want to run and get myself in shape. I took a hiatus the 2nd half of the summer and I'm paying for it now! ahh! Let me show you how to work it! Getting myself in gear and breaking a sweat. cross your fingers and light a candle this works out!

It's about that time....

New school year...new hall...new staff...new binders...new dog...(wait same dog!)....new everything!!

It's on like Donkey Kong. The new spin on this year is that I'm flying solo with my job as hall director and managing the facility, staff, professional development (working on mine)...and completely balancing everything at once. I said that all in one big ol' breath. I'm really psyched about it all and hope that I can provide a platform of growth for my staff this year.

I really wanted to challenge myself with taking this job - and it has stretched me more than I thought. Yet, I do get a bit stressed with tasks and situations, but its definitely more sweeter when I figure stuff out.

So this year, I'm taking it all in stride, working to get stuff done ASAP and trying to stay ahead of the game. Ahh - I miss the game. (softball fools!-where you at?!)

Tanner and I made a trip to the Vet today. You would think he was about to go into a boxing match when the Vet Asst. said, "Now for the weigh in!" Tanner was carried back and the VA tells me my boys weighs in at 26.2 lbs!! lol That is incredible and great! He's getting to be a big boy and healthy too. :) Mama is a happy camper. Also, he has moved locations from the bathroom to the kettle cage (courtesy of Bruce Lee). Looking good Tanner. Pics to come. You know I'm busy!!

PS. So Tanner weighs the EXACT number of miles in a marathon. Wow! Don't get any ideas Colleen. MY knees don't go past 6 miles while running. :) at least not yet.
